10/12/2002	ACTech was an exhibitor at the EUROMOLD 2002
	From 04 to 07/12/2002, ACTech GmbH showcased itself at the EUROMOLD 2002 (Frankfurt on the Main), in hall 9.0, booth E 28.
12/11/2002	Casting a bell for EOS on the occasion of the firm’s move
	Mr. Klotz and Mr. Helmert visited the new EOS headquarters in the industrial area in Krailling, a village close to Planegg/ Munich, to which EOS GmbH has moved. ACTech cast a bronze bell decorated with the EOS logo in order to underline the strong connection between ACTech and EOS. We gave the bell Mr. Oberhofer, operating business manager of EOS GmbH.
10/10/2002	Commissioning of the new CNC machining centre DMU 125 P hi-dyn
	We further extended the machining capacities at ACTech with the new CNC machining centre DMU 125 P hi-dyn. Future work in many shifts is also supported by the use of interchangeable tables. The centre with its technical equipment (to be run in 5 axes simultaneously, 2.5D and 3D machining, negative positioning up to 20°) offers clear machining advantages and makes possible universal use in 5-sided machining.

28/08/2002	Support  of the victims of the flood catastrophe
	Although ACTech GmbH as a company was not itself affected by flood damage, we knew many individuals in the area or among the employees who suffered terrible, even life-threatening, losses. For this reason, ACTech GmbH decided to pass a programme with immediate measures to give the employees concerned the necessary help for reconstruction:   We granted manpower and technical support for cleaning and repair work free of charge. ACTech GmbH spent up to 2,000 EURO per employee for flood damage amelioration. The personnel affected were given organised help in managing the remedial measures, acquisition of equipment, devices and material and in building relationships with the authorities. We offered interest-free loans of up to 2,600 EURO to a wider range of employees affected only to a lesser extent. In August 2002, ACTech GmbH made available 30,000 EURO as another means of support.
21/05/2002	The ROTARY-CLUB FREIBERG held a meeting at ACTech
	In the evening of 21 May 2002, ACTech welcomed the members of the Rotary Club Freiberg to its new manufacturing plant. The first technical discussions, which were continued at the cold buffet in the evening, began during the guided tour of the running production.
25/04/2002	ACTech performed the GIRLS - DAY 2002
	As a part of the Germany-wide GIRLS  DAY, 17 students from the grammar school Gottfried-Pabst-von-Ohain-Schule and the gymnasium Rülein-Gymnasium Freiberg visited our firm on 25 April. They had the opportunity to take part in a guided tour of the firm and subsequent demonstrations and discussions in the manufacturing teams, where they received information about training and employment opportunities for women at ACTech GmbH, even in professions untypical for women.
02/02/2002	ACTech took action in the AGENDA 21 process
	On 02/02/2002, the 3rd panel of the Agenda 21 for sustainable economic development was held in Freiberg. The panel was aimed at discussing current and future problems of sustainable economic growth with about 80 guests. The wide range of this objective was obvious from the papers. Speakers from trade unions, local authorities and business gave their opinions on problems. Subsequently, the task of the Freiberg Agenda 21 Forum was to analyse the interests expressed and to develop offers which could be taken up by the companies and local authorities. ACTech expressed its willingness to take part in this process and its hope that the Agenda 21 - Forum would be very successful.
