MIDEST 2004 |

For the second time, ACTech showcased itself at the MIDEST (Paris), France’s biggest international subcontractor tradeshow of France. The substantially extended booth was a great attraction for visitors. Many of the invited guests used the opportunity to personally contact us and placed promising orders with ACTech while still at the tradeshow. |

The 2004 Euromold was again a highlight of ACTech’s activities as an exhibitor. Well over 200 new contacts and requests document the customers’ interest in ACTech’s products and its performance. |

ELMIA Subconstractor 2004 |

ACTech was a successful exhibitor at the ELMIA subcontractor tradeshow in Jönköping (Sweden) in 2004 as well. At the ACTech stand, we were able not only to build up numerous new business contacts, but also to form contacts with other exhibitors. |

Shanghai Auto Parts and Equip 2004 |

For the first time, ACTech was present with its own stand at the SHANGHAI AUTO PARTS AND EQUIP 2004. The tradeshow visitors were really astonished and excited by demonstrations of our casting manufacturing methods. By the end of the tradeshow, which was very successful for us, we already had our first promising contacts, mostly from the automotive industry. For ACTech, this tradeshow was an important step toward the East. |

Saxon Classic Rally 2004 ( Sachsen-Classic-Rallye 2004) |

Our team also successfully joined the Saxon-Classic-Rally in 2004. In addition to an excellent overall ranking, we took first place in the homogeneity test and left Porsche, Jaguar and Ferrari behind us. |

Commissioning of the digitising system ATOS IIe |

The digitising system ATOS II made by GOM was commissioned as another measuring system for rigorous quality inspection. An accuracy of maximal 0.1 mm over a maximal measuring length of 10,000 mm allows for the checking all castings produced at ACTech. |

Successful audit of the eco-management system |

At present, safeguarding the environment is being emphasised more and more. Not only are policymakers and the general public demanding a cleaner environment, but also industry and business are more and more interested in environmentally friendly production. ACTech is committed to actively and consciously contributing to a healthy environment. At the end of 2003, we at ACTech introduced an eco-management system following the recommendations of the international standards DIN EN ISO 14001:1996. The system was successfully certified in February 2004. |

After two days of intensive reviews and inspection, ACTech GmbH was successfully audited according to EN ISO 9001: 2000 and ISO/TS 16949: 2002 for engineering and manufacturing of casting prototypes and small batches by the DNV authorities. |

ACTech had a booth together with the firm Oldie Service Team GmbH, which was a highlight of the fair not least because of its exclusive HORCH 853a convertible. The various replica castings for HORCH made by ACTech attracted special consideration. |

ACTech achieved another impressive milestone in the firm’s history with the 10,000th pouring since our foundation in 1995. This was another reason to introduce ACTech in detailed facts and figures. |

First ACTech presentation at the Autosport International fair in Birmingham |

On 8 and 9 January 2004, the Autosport International tradeshow 2004 was held in Birmingham. This is one of the most important racing tradeshows. ACTech made use of the opportunity to enhance its reputation in the UK, and attracted substantial interest from the visitors. One of them placed an order with us after just one week, as an immediate result of the fair presentation. |
