Rubber Plaster Mold Process

ACTech -Prozesskette Rubber Plaster Mold ProcessThe rubber plaster molding procedure is a sound alternative to series investment casting or die casting. It is useful in cases where the customer needs a greater part quantity, but the volume would not justify the part’s production in a series foundry.

With this technology, one can not only fabricate small batches cost-efficiently and quickly, but also maintain quality in large investment castings done without metal tools.

ACTech -Prozesskette Rubber Plaster Mold ProcessCNC milled modeling equipment or durable silicone patterns are used as masters for pouring the casting mold. In this technology, the gate and feeder systems are an inherent part of the modeling equipment. Long model life enables rapid production of greater plaster mold quantities. The next step in mold assembly is to directly cool and complete the plaster molds to obtain the finished casting mold.

ACTech -Prozesskette Rubber Plaster Mold ProcessGeometries of extreme complexity and large undercuts may be achieved unproblematic with rubber plaster molding, by means of loose parts, core boxes or sintered sand cores.

Special solutions, such as steel inlay parts, significantly expand the range of application and provide the engineer with new innovation potential in component design.
