Prototypes for commercial vehicle construction and construction machinery
Rapid production and machining of large parts
Tractors, front loaders and excavators – with component production for construction machinery and commercial vehicles the motto is frequently: 'Think big!' This presents many prototype foundries with insurmountable challenges. ACTech on the other hand upgraded years ago: Whether parts for combustion engines or alternative drives, our facilities are specialized in the production of large, heavy castings for construction machinery and commercial vehicles.
Construction machinery and commercial vehicles often require parts with above-average dimensions.
The switch to alternative fuels (hydrogen) and the objective of achieving the greatest possible reductions in emission currently pose a variety of challenges.
Battery electric drives are technologically not yet fully mature in commercial vehicles and construction machinery and need to be optimized for efficient use.
Construction machinery and commercial vehicles bring an enormous weight to the scales – which alone makes them a significant contributor to the consumption of global resources and energy. This makes the striving to operate large-engine construction machinery and commercial vehicles in a more environmentally friendly manner all the more important. We are pleased to forge a common path towards a greener future with you: In contrast to many other prototype foundries, we established our processes on a broad basis years ago so that we can cast, machine and transport larger-dimension castings for commercial vehicles and construction machinery without problems. We have invested in larger 3D printers, expanded our machining centers and increased our casting capacities. As a result, we guarantee the fast, precise and technically professional production of castings for construction machinery and commercial vehicles for both conventional clean combustion engines and alternative drives.
We are consistently at the forefront in terms of innovation. This is why we also regularly check our internal process chains for optimization potential for tailoring our prototype production even more precisely to your requirements. Our quality management system has been certified according to ISO 9001 by 'TÜV SÜD Management Service GmbH'.

Are drive systems also changing with commercial and construction vehicles?
Due to legal regulations, a strong development of alternative drive concepts is also being seen in the sector of commercial and construction vehicles. Electrification, alternative fuels and hydrogen are hotly discussed and already partly implemented concepts.
What are the new requirements for drive technology?
The diversity of parts and components that can be realized in casting ranges from complex gearbox housings, electrified axles and e-motors to structural components for new vehicle concepts. Even familiar castings such as combustion engines are being redeveloped for hybrid concepts and hydrogen applications.
Why are prototypes required in this area?
Development cycles are becoming shorter and innovative concepts are being driven forward in the commercial and construction vehicle sector as well. The numerous different drive concepts are also currently being tested with many newly developed components. The rapid production of prototypes thus creates a market advantage in this consistently expanding industry.
