This year, seven new apprentices have started training at ACTech in the career paths of casting mechanic, industrial mechanic, mechatronics engineer, material tester and machining mechanic.

The welcome day for the apprentices took place on 3 August 2017. The agenda for the day included greeting of the apprentices by the company management, a comprehensive presentation about the company including a tour, a health and safety briefing, an explanation of the rules during the training period as well as the distribution of test equipment and protective shoes and clothing. As in previous years, this year’s seven apprentices also received a welcome gift in the form of an ACTech bag filled with goodies.

The beginning of professional life is a definitive and formative event. Suddenly, skills are required that are only taught in school to a limited extent, but are absolutely essential in everyday working life. To make our apprentices’ new start with us easier, a one-day workshop took place the day after the welcome day. Its first purpose was to teach them the basics of professional conduct (or how to avoid blunders). Secondly, it addressed the personalities of the apprentices and asked them to reflect on their personal strengths and potential for development in their relationships with others.

We wish our new apprentices a great start and a successful training period!

The new training year has hardly begun, and already we are recruiting for new apprentices to start training in August 2018. We are seeking suitable candidates for the following career paths: metal technology specialist, casting mechanic and machining mechanic.
